The Four Eyebrow Products I Swear By

Welcome back, y’all! Eyebrows are one of my favorite parts of doing my face, besides blinding highlight. Since thick, full “Instagram” brows have gotten popular, people have been trying all sorts of products to fill in their eyebrows.

Personally, I don’t have to fill in my brows, but I do like having them look like they’ve just been threaded or waxed all the time. I’ve gone through many products and today I’m here to share with you my favorites!

If you’re a beginner…

I totally recommend starting with a pencil if you’re early in your eyebrow journey. They’re usually pretty inexpensive.

My favorite brand to use is Rimmel’s Professional Eyebrow Pencil!

While I used to use this pencil exclusively to fill in my eyebrows, I now only reserve its use for filling in spots my pomade (which I’ll explain later) happened to miss, or to draw my tail a bit longer.

I also find that once you learn how to properly fill in your brows, you can make a pencil last around two months.

If you’d rather use a brush…

Sometimes sharpening can get tiring. Once I wanted to try something else other than a pencil, I started looking into eyebrow powders and other eyebrow kits.

While some powders can be purchased separately, most come in a kit with a cream. Typically the powder in the kit is used to help set the cream, or fill in sparse spots in your brow. Also, you would use an angled brush to put the product on.

My very first kit was the NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder. It comes with a spooly brush and a small angled brush.

I also played around with E.L.F’s Eyebrow Kit, which is half cream and half powder. This one lacks a spooly brush, so I often just used my E.L.F.’s Small Angled Brush, which is angled brush on one side and spooly brush on the other.

If you’re a professional…

Once you’ve mastered (or get tired of using) all of the aforementioned products, the holy grail eyebrow product to end all products is definitely the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade.

The reason I don’t recommend this product right off the bat is because it takes a lot of skill to apply correctly. Too many times I’ve seen girls add way too much to their brush and they have those horrible “Sharpie” brows.

Not fleeky at all!

Only use this product when you’ve mastered at least two others. That’s just my suggestion.

This is my absolute favorite eyebrow product to use because once it’s on your brows, it’s on there. I’ve fallen asleep in my makeup quite a few times and while everything else has transferred to my pillow, my eyebrows have not.

It’s a bit pricey, but since you use so little product, it’s a very good investment!

If you want to try some other products…

These are by no means the only eyebrow products out there. Multiple brands have other products: NYX has an Eyebrow Gel, an Eyebrow Mascara and quite a few brands have Eyebrow Markers. I’ve never used them, but definitely play around with all of these products to find out what you like.

While I swear by pomade, other ladies will never use anything but their favorite eyebrow pencil. As long as your brows are fleeky by the end of it, who cares what product you use?

Until next time,

  1. I swear by the ABH Brow Pomade! I bought it when I was a newbie to the makeup scene. With a lot of practice, I was finally able to not look like a scary clown. It stays on all day and it is waterproof. I totally agree that if you are a beginner, a brow pencil is best and then move on to the pomade. Great post!

    1. When I’m really lazy some days I’ll use a pencil exclusively lol! Thanks for stopping by Michelle!
