3 Monochrome Outfit Ideas to Try This Fall

Welcome back y’all!

So, it’s officially fall…unless you live in the south, that is. In that case, we can pretend it’s fall until about November.

For most people, it’s truly fall, aka trench coats, turtlenecks and all that jazz. While it’s not quite fall down here yet, there’s no reason why I can’t dress like it is!

Today’s blog post is all about some monochrome outfit ideas for fall! There’s a few colors I have in mind, included the dreaded white (which isn’t supposed to be worn after Labor Day, but who cares about that???) and a few other fun ones!

Without further ado, let’s get to the outfits!

White on white on white

First up, white on white. In my opinion, I think it’s the easiest way to enter the monochrome lifestyle. Most people have at least one white shirt (and if not…uh…hurry up and get one!) or something else white. Even socks are a good starting point!

This is usually the color I gravitate towards, besides black and tan, if I want to pair together a monochrome look.

I’m wearing a white, long sleeved turtleneck from Forever 21, along with white, high waisted Fashion Nova pants. On my feet are some pointed toe booties from Rainbow.

As the thrifting queen that I am, I got my pants from a thrift store. However, you can find a similar pair on their website!

As for my top and shoes, similar styles can be found here and here.

Red on red on red

When you’re ready for something exciting, try red! I featured an all red monochrome fit on a recent reel I did.

I had on a red tube top, red high waisted jeans and red heels. Of course, this is a great outfit for early fall in the south, but if you’re in a place where fall ACTUALLY exists, I would switch out the tube top for a nice long sleeved sweater.

My top and pants were both from H&M…bought retail for once! The top is actually on sale right now! Grab it while you can.

My pants aren’t on sale at the moment, but are still a great pair to buy!

Tan on tan on tan

Tan is another classic color to turn to for monochrome fits if you don’t have another neutral or base color, like white or black.

In the fall, try wearing a short sleeved top and a nice pair of slacks or a skirt. To top it all off, try a long trench coat. I wore something similar with some snakeskin like heels.

The important thing to realize about monochrome outfits is that you don’t necessarily need to wear all of one color to achieve the look. Hues work as well!

The entire outfit I wore tan colors, but the shoes were darker than everything. Despite this, it still matched my entire outfit.

Well, there you have it y’all! Three colors to try for your next monochrome outfit, along with some ideas about how to pair them all together.

Will you be hopping on the monochrome trend this fall, or any other season? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,
