How to Style a T-Shirt

Welcome back, y’all! Today’s blog post is all about styling a t-shirt, which I know you all have in your closet.

Sure, some might be holey, or stained, or both, but of course, you have to have at least one fit for wear! Now, you might be tempted to just throw the shirt on with a pair of sweatpants, but after you read this post, you’ll be left with some food for t-shirt thought!

Without further ado, let’s talk some shirts!

T-shirt/mom jeans

What is arguably the most common and trendy option right now is pairing a t-shirt with a pair of mom jeans. Tuck your shirt in or tie it up, before putting on a pair of combat boots to complete the look.

T-shirt/biker shorts

My airport outfit go-to is this combination. My t-shirt is typically oversized, but you can tie your shirt up if you’d like.

The best thing about a t-shirt and biker short combo is that it can be dressed up or dressed down. I opt for sneakers or boots when in the airport, but you can easily put on a pair of heels and make this outfit night-ready.

H&M and Forever 21 are my favorite places to get biker shorts, along with Target.

T-shirt/long skirt

Yet another combo that can be dressed up or down. It’s also a combo that at one point I would’ve not even attempted to wear in public because it just wasn’t my taste.

Hooray for the passage of time though!

T-shirt/blazer

Finally, you can’t go wrong with a t-shirt and blazer combo. It’s a classic style is usually a great way to try out if you like the style pairing or not.

I’ve written about styling a blazer in the past. Check that post out here!

Just because t-shirts are good for lounging around in, doesn’t mean that they can’t be dressed up either! Try one of these pairings, or something else entirely with your favorite t-shirts.

Which pairing is your favorite? Is there one that I should also try out? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,
